My year as PTSA President has concluded and I want to thank my wonderful PTSA Board members for their hard work and support this year. I also want to thank the faculty, administration, students and parents at DCHS for their support. As a board we can be proud of our accomplishments and I wish next year’s board good luck. They will do a wonderful job. I hope everyone has a great summer!

DCHS is sporting a new summer reading program that you need to check out. The English department has selected five contemporary texts for this summer. Please visit the DC Reads website to find out further details on the books and the DC Reads program.

The SGA is sponsoring the faculty/student basketball fundraiser scheduled for 6:30 PM May 10, 2010 at Davie High. All proceeds go to the Why the Woods nonprofit organization created by former Davie student and athlete, Billy Riddle, to build a school in Wadupe, Sudan. Please consider attending to support a very worthy cause.
